S/MIME – Overview and Usage in Conbool

S/MIME (Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) is an established standard for secure email communication.
It enables both the encryption of confidential content and digital signatures to verify sender identity.

S/MIME Features

1. Encryption
   • Protects the content of an email from unauthorized access.
   • Only the intended recipient with the matching key can read the message.
   • Particularly suitable for confidential data such as contracts, financial or personal data.
2. Digital Signature
   • Ensures that the message has not been altered.
   • Allows the recipient to verify the authenticity and identity of the sender.
