Licences and users: assignment per module

Every module is licensed per mailbox. Licences are assigned to individual mailboxes and consumed there, independently of the number of signed-in users.

Licences can be assigned for SecureMail, MailGuard, Disclaimer, SecureFiles and Conbool LFE. The suite licence covers SecureMail, MailGuard and Disclaimer together and appears as its own line with a note about three modules. Assignment takes place in the portal under settings, licences. The licence management becomes visible as soon as at least one module is booked and a domain is verified.

Assignment and counting

Every mailbox carries a status per module: assigned, open or excluded. The source is automatic when a mailbox is taken from the directory, or manual on direct assignment. An excluded mailbox does not receive the module, and email is delivered without that function.

The overview shows available, used and free per module. Aliases and functional mailboxes are deduplicated so that the same identity does not count twice. If the quota comes from a partner pool, the source is labelled accordingly.

Users, roles and permissions

Licences may be managed by anyone with the billing management permission. Without that permission the view is locked and the account owner takes over the assignment. Which role carries which rights is described in users and roles.

Switching and adding modules

Further modules can be added at any time, without a new contract. Increases are charged pro rata for the running billing period, reductions take effect at the next renewal. Individual licences for SecureMail, MailGuard and Disclaimer can be bundled into the suite. For SecureFiles the bookable quota depends on the storage and quota.
