SecureFiles: secure file transfer from the EU

SecureFiles is the module for secure file transfer in Conbool. Files of any size are sent and received encrypted, hosted in Europe and without a detour through a US cloud.

What SecureFiles does

Large attachments burst every mail server limit. SecureFiles instead uploads them into storage and provides recipients with a download link. Transmission is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256, on request additionally end to end in zero-knowledge mode.

The download runs directly between recipient and storage through signed links. File content passes no intermediate proxy, which reduces the attack surface and keeps the transfer fast, even at several gigabytes per file.

Security and compliance

Every transfer, every download and every policy violation lands in the central audit log under GDPR Art. 30. IP addresses are hashed, deleted actors are pseudonymised. Before every release a malware scan checks the files, infected uploads never reach the recipient. Related protection for the mail channel is found in the attachment filter of MailGuard.
