Deploying the Disclaimer add-in in Outlook

The Outlook add-in shows the signature and banners while writing. Rollout centrally through the Microsoft 365 admin center or directly in Outlook.

The Outlook add-in shows the central signature and active banners while an email is still being written. It does not insert the content itself, the enrichment stays server side. The side panel serves as a preview and for choosing a template.

What the add-in does

The add-in provides a live preview of the final signature straight in Outlook, on the desktop, on the web and on mobile. The released structure is visible but cannot be manipulated. In the side panel every mailbox chooses its preferred template from the released templates, and the choice stays stored per identity.

Central rollout through Microsoft 365

Central deployment by the administrators is recommended. The Disclaimer add-in is published in Microsoft AppSource, so manual installation is not needed.

  1. In the Microsoft 365 admin center under settings, open the integrated apps.
  2. Choose "Add app" and search the store for the Conbool add-in.
  3. Assign mailboxes or groups and confirm the deployment.

The assigned mailboxes receive the add-in automatically.

Straight from Outlook

Individual mailboxes add the add-in themselves:

  1. In Outlook, open "Get add-ins".
  2. Search for "Conbool" and add the add-in.

For tests and special cases the manifest is additionally available for download.

Shared deployment of several add-ins

Disclaimer, SecureMail and SecureFiles use the same deployment path. Anyone who has already rolled out the SecureMail add-in in Microsoft 365 will recognise the steps for the Disclaimer add-in. Both are assigned centrally in the admin center.

Interplay with the rules

Which templates appear in the add-in is governed by the template management through the add-in visibility. Without a restriction, all released templates are visible to all add-in users. Which template is actually appended is decided by the assignment rules.
