- Calendar and contacts
- In webmail, on smartphones via Exchange ActiveSync, on the Mac and in Thunderbird via CalDAV and CardDAV. Outlook for Windows shows email, the calendar is available in webmail there.
- Spam protection
- Built-in protection against malware and spam is included in every plan. Quarantine, link protection and attachment rules come with MailGuard as a module.
- Archiving
- Plan 1 and Plan 2 have an online archive. Plan 2 also includes tamper-proof email archiving.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Conbool does not replace the Office apps. They keep running with your Office licence, wherever the mailbox is.
- Teams
- Chat, calls and meetings keep working. The calendar inside Teams requires an Exchange mailbox and is not available without one.
- OneDrive and SharePoint
- File storage and intranet stay with Microsoft. For sending large files to external recipients there is SecureFiles as a module.

Is there a German alternative to Microsoft 365?
For the mailbox, yes: Conbool Mail replaces Exchange Online with email, calendar, contacts and archive, run in Germany. Conbool Mail does not replace the Office apps, Teams or OneDrive.
Is Conbool Mail an alternative to Exchange Online?
Yes. The three plans match Exchange Online Kiosk, Plan 1 and Plan 2 in scope. Conbool Mail is its own service with open protocols, not a hosted Exchange.
Can we keep Office 365 and only switch email?
Yes. You switch the DNS records for email and migrate the mailboxes. Office, Teams and OneDrive keep running in the tenant.
Does Teams work without Exchange Online?
Chat, calls and meetings do. The calendar inside Teams requires an Exchange mailbox. You then schedule meetings in the Conbool Mail calendar and paste the Teams link.
