Questions about email hosting in Germany
Is email hosting in Germany automatically GDPR compliant?
No. Location is a prerequisite, not a guarantee. It also takes a data processing agreement, named subprocessors and technical safeguards. With Conbool Mail all three are part of the contract.
What does email hosting with Conbool cost?
Per mailbox per month €1.29 for Kiosk, €2.99 for Plan 1 and €5.49 for Plan 2, net. Shared mailboxes up to 50 GB, distribution lists, rooms and equipment are free.
Can we keep our domain?
Yes. The domain stays with your provider, only the DNS records for email change. All addresses stay as they are.
Are the emails encrypted?
Connections to webmail, mail clients and smartphones are encrypted. For encrypting individual messages with S/MIME or PGP there is SecureMail as a separate module.
Does email hosting work without any cloud?
Yes. Conbool Mail can run in your own data centre, with sign-in through your Active Directory.
