Quarantine
Quarantine function for suspicious emails: notifications and release.
Quarantine
The Conbool quarantine protects recipients from potentially dangerous, unwanted, or suspicious emails.
Suspicious messages are automatically isolated and can be reviewed and released directly from the notification email — without having to log in to the portal or dashboard.
How It Works
- Incoming emails are filtered and scored by MailGuard.
- If quarantine is enabled, messages with a threat score higher than the defined threshold are placed in quarantine.
- The recipient (or an administrator) receives a quarantine notification with a secure preview.
- The message can be released or deleted directly from this email.
Configuring Quarantine Notifications
The notification is configured via the Settings → Quarantine section.
Here you define how and in what layout recipients are informed about quarantined messages.
Settings
- Active
Enables or disables quarantine notifications. - Sender Address
Address that appears as the sender in the quarantine email (e.g.,noreply@conbool.com). - Preview Subject
Subject line of the notification email (e.g., Email in Quarantine). - HTML Template
Defines the layout and text of the notification.
You can integrate branding, logos, or additional notices.
The preview on the right side shows the final appearance of the email directly.
Direct Release from the Email
Each quarantine notification contains an individual release link.
This link:
- is valid for one-time use,
- cryptographically signed,
- time-limited.
By clicking the link and subsequent validation, the message is immediately released and delivered to the recipient.
