LDAP integration with Active Directory for user, group, and certificate synchronization.
LDAP Integration
The LDAP integration connects Conbool with an existing directory service, e.g., Microsoft Active Directory.
This allows users, groups, and certificates to be automatically retrieved from LDAP without having to manually maintain them in the Conbool backend.
Features
- Access to user and group data from LDAP
- Automatic retrieval of public S/MIME certificates
- Use of LDAP certificates as a fallback when no certificate is available in the Conbool store
- Optional: Display LDAP users in search fields or group lists
Configuration
- Open Settings → LDAP.
- Enable the "Enabled" toggle.
- Enter the connection details:
- LDAP URL (e.g.,
ldaps://ldap.example.com) - Bind DN and bind password of the service account
- Base DN for users (e.g.,
OU=Users,DC=example,DC=local) - Optional: Base DN for certificates, if they are stored separately
- LDAP URL (e.g.,
- Optionally enable:
- Show LDAP users in user search
- Use LDAP certificates as fallback
- Confirm with Save.
