Certificate Import

Manually import existing S/MIME certificates into Conbool.

Existing certificates can be manually imported if they were issued outside of Conbool.

Procedure

  1. Click the "+" icon in the upper right corner of the S/MIME tab.
  2. Select "Import certificate".
  3. Upload the required files one after another. Supported formats:
    • Public key: .p7b, .p7c, .cer, .der, .crt, .pem
    • Private key: .p12, .pfx
  4. Enter the password for the private key (if required).
  5. After successful validation, the certificate appears in the "Private Certificates" tab.

Notes

  • Only valid certificates with a complete chain can be imported.
  • Expiration warnings are automatically displayed in the dashboard.
  • Imported certificates are not automatically renewed.
For ongoing use, connecting to an MPKI or automatic issuance via groups is recommended.
